Director of Counseling Resources and Founder of Renewing Hearts
Alicia Eidson was born at U.C.L.A. hospital in Los Angeles. She has done a great deal of travel and is now settled in Central Florida. She grew up in a very dysfunctional environment. She has lived through some very traumatic circumstances. While going through all this, she was told that she had a degenerative eye disease and that she would become totally blind. Her story has motivated and inspired others in many different ways. She attributes her recovery to her faith and a wonderful counselor that worked with her for about four years at no cost. After obtaining degrees in Human Services, Human Development and Marriage and Family Therapy, Alicia has grown to love and serve people. She wants to give them the same chance for recovery and renewal that she had. When she began looking for jobs, she found that it is very difficult for interns in her field to find work. She has a passion to help others through their recovery and renewal process. Also, she has a deep desire to assist interns in developing their skills as they work to become licensed professionals.
Rick and Alicia Eidson have been married since June of 2004. They are parent’s, grandparents, friends and very hard workers. They love life and each other. They started Renewing Hearts to serve on a national level and bring renewal to the lives of people in need. Rick loves photography and helping people through emergency situations. Alicia loves the ocean and her grandbabies! Together they share in their love for music, movies, spending time with friends, laughter, and building up others.
